Blues crush Hawks to progress in Cup

Hawkhurst United 0 - 6 Sidley United - ESFL Challenge Cup 

For the second week in a row Sidley United discovered the joy of six as they thumped Hawkhurst to progress into the next round of the ESFL Challenge Cup. 

The Blues began positively and raced into an early two goal lead through goals from Logan Copley on 5 and 10 minutes and they never looked like surrendering that advantage. 

However further goals took a while to come as chances to extend the lead came and went. It wasn't until an own goal on 72 minutes finally killed off the game and from then on Sidley compounded the result.

Atkin struck on 74 minutes before a penalty converted by Will Witham on 76 minutes added gloss to the score. The final nail in the Hawkhurst coffin was when Lewis Wade added a sixth goal on 87 minutes as Blues sailed through into the next round.
